Christmas Illuminations' Trees and The Thing X

師走は風を連れてくる

そんな言葉が聞こえてくるぐらい先日は風が強かった。

窓を叩くその音は、まるで「ドアを開けなさい‼︎」と大きな声をたてる通りすがりの小さな子どもの声に似ていたが、

あいにくわたしの部屋は二重窓になっており、その可愛らしい声を少しだけ小さくしてしまう。

この日は散歩に行くのを諦め、わたしは日課であるスナップ写真をふたたび整理し始めた。

ちょうど1年前のこのシーズンに、池袋の街を散策していたわたしは、クリスマスイルミネーションを纏った木々を見ていた。街路樹というものは森や山にある木と違って元々観賞用に存在しているが

この時期の木々は皆いつにもまして輝いていた。

しかし、どの木々も同じに見えるから不思議です。

ちなみに、木々の前にはというと、魚やクラゲなどといった海の生き物が同じく電球で着飾っているようにも見え、こちらも同様に美しかった。

わたしのフィルムカメラはというと、またしても手ブレていたが、そのおかげでイルミネーションのクラゲは他の生き物に変化していた。

「物体X」　わたしは急に古い映画のことを思い出し、このクラゲにそんな名前をつけた。

The end of December brings the wind....

The wind was so strong the other day, so I had a feeling that I heared such words.

The sound of the wind hitting the window was like a loud voice shouting, "Open the door!"

It sounded like the voice of a small child passing by outside windows.

By the way, my room has double-glazed windows, which makes the cute voice a little quieter.

I gave up on going for a walk on this day and started organizing my daily snapshots again.

Just one year ago, during this season, I was strolling around the streets of Ikebukuro, and saw trees decorated with Christmas lights.

The city trees were more radiant than normal in winter seasons.

But for me, all the trees look the same.

In front of the trees, there were also the illuminated fishes. jellyfish and other sea creatures, they were also shining with blue lights.

My film camera was blurry as always, so some mysterious happens on the film.

The illuminated jellyfish looked like transforming into other creatures.

"The Thing" I suddenly remembered an old movie of 80's.

And I named this jellyfish The Thing X.
