コーヒーが好きなわたしは毎朝挽きたての豆でいれたコーヒーを２杯飲んでいる。

それは朝のルーティンであり、眠気覚ましの儀式でもある。

10月1日はコーヒーの日、と、ウェブのどこかに載っていて、わたしはその言葉を見ただけで、

淹れたてのコーヒーの、あのなんとも言えない良い香りを思い出してしまう。

今日はあいにくの雨模様で、朝から湿気が強く、少しだけコーヒーが不味く感じられたが

それは致し方ないことだった。

雨というのは、そのぐらい気分を憂鬱にさせてしまうのだと

わたしの頭は少しだけ雨にマイナスイメージを持つようになっているが

実際雨が降っても降らなくても、コーヒーが美味しく感じる時と、そうではない時は交互にやってくるので不思議です。

ちなみにこれはコーヒーとは関係のない土嚢の写真です。

私はこの日、この土嚢の置かれた少し先の、たまに訪れる喫茶店で、コーヒーを飲んだ帰り道に、この写真を撮ったのでした。

その日の天候は雨でも台風でもなかったものの、この場所にはこんなにも土嚢が積まれており、一体何に備えてこれが置かれているのだろう、などとわたしは考えていたものです。

数日後、たまたまこの近くを通りがかったのですが、その時にはもうすっかり土嚢は片付けられており、このシャッターの代わりと言ってはなんですが、わたしは何も起きなかった1日に感謝し、手を合わせるのでした。

I love coffee and drink two cups of freshly ground coffee every morning.

It's a morning routine, a wake-up ritual.

I read somewhere on the web that October 1st is Coffee Day, and just seeing that phrase makes me think of the indescribable aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

Unfortunately, it was raining and the humidity today, so the coffee tasted a little bad.

Rain can make me feel a little bit depressed, but It's strange how, whether it's raining or not, sometimes the taste of coffee is influenced by weather.

By the way, this is a photo of a sandbag.

I took this photo on my way home from having coffee at a cafe I occasionally visit.

Although the weather of that day was neither rainy nor a typhoon, there were so many sandbags piled up in this place.

I wondered what the people in this town were preparing for.... My imagination started walking on this day.

A few days later, I happened to be passing by and the sandbags had been completely removed.

I am relieved that nothing happened here.
